Welcome to the Leicester Family History page. The Family History website has created this page to assist Genealogists and Family History researchers tracing lost ancestors and relatives that were living in and around Leicestershire, England, UK. You will find a range of Leicestershire Family History resources, including information of Births, Marriages and Deaths, and Parish Records, in this local Family History part of our website:
This society has gone from humble beginnings in 1974 as the small Leicester Family History Circle, initiated by 12 researchers, to a growing society which changed its name in 1992 to encompass the tiny county of Rutland. Membership is a very modest fee and gives access to a free Quarterly journal.
Based at Long Street in Leicester. They offer records dating back to the 1100’s including manuscripts including: books and newspapers, maps, photographs, videos and sound recordings.
