Isle of Wight Family History Society

This society was created to help personal research on the island. Meetings are held at a central venue in Newport on the island. They publish a Quarterly Journal and have a main conference in May each year featuring well known island and mainland speakers.

Isle of Wight Record Office & Archive

The Office preserves historical documents relating to the Isle of Wight and makes them available for research, the material spans from the 12th Century to now. There are family records, parish church records and estates archives to name a few.
